David S. Feldman MD is chief of Pediatric orthopedic surgery at
the Hospital for Joint Diseases NYU Medical Center in Manhattan New
York.
He specializes in the care of children with complex limb, spine and hip
deformities.
Dr. Feldman specializes in the care of children with both idiopathic
and neuromuscular scoliosis. Through early detection of scoliosis, many
children can avoid surgery. When surgery is required, utilizing
advanced techniques, most children will be brace free and back to all
activities in two to three months.
Dr. Feldman has been in the forefront of orthopedic care and management
of children with Cerebral
Palsy, Clubfeet, congenital and post traumatic limb
deformities Arthrogryposis, Familial Dysautonomia, Osteogenisis
Imperfecta and Prader-Willi Syndrome.
His treament of limb deformities has extended to the care of adults
with severe limb deformities and nonunions as well as hip
anomalies causing arthritis. Through the use of advanced hip surgery
i.e. Periacetabular Ganz Osteotomy, he has helped hundreds of young
adults preserve their original hip and avoid artificial replacement.
His office is located in mid Manhattan within walking distance
from both hospitals and open Monday through Friday.
Staff is bilingual. X-ray equiptment and X-ray technician
based in the office five days per week.
