IMPLANTS 2009
The 5th International Outsourcing and Solutions for Orthopaedic Implants and Biomaterials Conference and Exhibit will be held on 28 and 29 May 2009, in Lyon (France) at Convention Centre. This 5th annual edition of Implants is built on the great success of the previous years, that recorded a large presence of industry players (around 400 delegates). A success based on its international dimension, enabling key actors of the Orthopaedics Value Chain to discuss the latest trends and innovations, and to develop business relationships between Contractors and Suppliers.

Johns Hopkins Review Course 2008
This course is designed to provide an intense overview
of clinical Orthopaedic surgery especially for residents
intending to take Part 1 of the Orthopaedic Board Exam,
or the Orthopaedic In-Training Examination (OITE).
The sessions will be conducted by faculty in Orthopaedic Surgery at Johns Hopkins who have significant experience teaching in fellowship and residency programs, and preparing residents for the orthopaedic board examination. Maine Orthopaedic Review
The Maine Orthopaedic Review Course has provided continuing orthopaedic education for over 40 years. The course presents a unique opportunity for study and review for residents, board candidates, and practicing orthopaedists looking toward recertification. The course is a comprehensive review with strong sections in pediatric orthopaedics, trauma, bone tumors, metabolic bone disease, and pathology.
There will be case reviews including x-rays and pathology slides; some mock oral exams are provided. The rural campus of Colby College offers an ideal atmosphere for study and recreation. Spend two weeks with us in Maine this June and July!
The Review begins with registration on Sunday, June 17th. Classes are held daily from Monday, June 18th to Thursday, June 28th, except Sunday, June 24th, which is free. Morning classes generally run from 7:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with the afternoon classes from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. There is a half hour coffee break each morning and generally a 15 minute break in the afternoon.

Advanced Techniques in Shoulder Arthroplasty, Arthroscopy and Fractures

Advanced Techniques in Shoulder Arthroscopy, Arthroplasty and Fractures is an intensive, hands-on skills course for orthopedic surgeons treating disorders of the shoulder. This year's course will focus on: arthritis, arthroscopy, arthroplasty, reverse shoulder arthroplasty, minimally invasive repair of rotator cuff pathology, techniques for addressing shoulder instability, fractures, and open and minimally invasive techcniques for fracture reduction and fixation. Laboratory experience using cadaver specimens complimented by didactic lectures provide a comprehensive approach to the course material. In addition, live video demonstrations and panel discussions will be used to further enhance the learning experience.
